Another roller coaster weekend.

My first trip to Kota Bharu from KT via the coastal road was not too bad, considering that I vaguely knew the way. Followed the road signs and instincts, and counted on my memory of cab drives to and from Kuala Besut jetty to KB.

Still, this is my second solitary road trip since February and I wished I wasn’t alone when navigating unfamiliar roads in the two east coast states.

Life goes on, right. I felt a moment of happiness when I saw:

Sailors

Then nearer:

Sailors

I decided to go towards the boats and got a very pleasant surprise. The sailors are state atheletes training for Sukma and belonged to the Terengganu Sailing Club based there in Penarek.

Optimist

They are competing in Optimist, Laser Radial and 420 classes, the last a new addition to the competition.

One thing lead to another and I left with a few possibilities of making my stay here a much, much more enjoyable one.

In other sailing news, KLD Tunas Samudera has returned, after over 400 days at sea on a round-the-world voyage.

I never knew there’s the term captain-in-chief of the navy.

    Nor,
There you go:)) Being in a positive frame of mind brings out the best of you, yes? I love the second shot. Sky, water, sand and tree. Lovely.

I’ll be glad to lend you my GPS navigator (a Garmin Nuvi) for your next road trip. It’ll help you discover hidden jewels along the way, not to mention point you to the right direction. Drop me an email the next time you go.
