Lunch on Friday with Sara and our economist friend. That was fun, although we got ripped off for ordering warm water. RM1.30 for a glass of plain, boiled water?!? If anyone goes to DuViet in Bangsar Village, don’t ask for water, not even bottled ones. Those are RM2.80 each. That was such a bad way to end a great meal with friends.

The server claimed they have put the prices on the menu. We noticed it was not on the menu displayed outside the restaurant. If it was 50 sen a glass, maybe we wouldn’t have made a big fuss about it. But heck, the cost to them for boiled water would be what, 5 sen a glass?

Did you know there’s a football-related photo exhibition going on in KL right now til end of the month? I don’t think most people are aware of it, unless you happened to read a small print of it in here or somewhere.

When Idlan and I went there yesterday (Wisma OCM, somewhere near the Stadium Merdeka/Negara area), we thought it was closed and there was no actual signage about the event. Even the staff of the adjoing hotel was clueless, and thought I had some documents to be copied (photo exhibition = nak fotostat???)

The nutty professor already gave up when we found out one of the entrance doors were unlocked and managed to get to the exhibit venue. Given, it was not a really huge exhibition but there were quite a few awesome photos on display.

Goethe Institute is behind the exhibit, which also include screening of German football films. According to the only staff manning the place, there had been “a trickle” of visitors since the exhibit opened a week ago. Given that it’s the school holidays, it should be more than that, but I don’t think parents would be aware of the event anyway, unless it is held at one of the popular shopping malls in town.

Maybe it’s because the photos have been displayed in places like Central Market and a couple of colleges that the organisers didn’t think to promote more about it. Or maybe because it’s free. I don’t know.

I introduced “superman” Supirman to the wonderful world of sushi, and wasabi and green tea. Heh.

A change in my already not-very-predictable routine. Lunch with two relatively new friends. I mostly listened, and concentrated on my first meal of the day. なんか、落ち着くの。ちょっとシャイでもあるけど。

Got home to see a party about to start. Not mine, so I stayed quietly in my room with my own thoughts and work.

Then met up with my oldest friend. I think he’s a very lucky guy since he’s seen me in a black dress and a skirt. Haha. And being the good friend that he is, of course he’d point out my clothing of choice for today to his wife-to-be, complete with commentaries. Thanks a lot, Mal.

So a day spent with actual people. It’s not too bad

I once wrote about things that turn people on.

It’s a really subjective topic, as like what people consider is sexy. The sound of a word, a sleek aircraft, a 40-footer sail boat or even a person’s appearance.

A guy friend once said that a girl in a baju kurung can be ten times sexier than one in a mini skirt and a tight top. I don’t know. Visually, it doesn’t match but hey, whatever works for you, dude.

A voice can be sexy, no matter what the person it belongs to is saying. Most of the time anyway. Ask me out to a ball game, that would just make my day. Heh.

And hands. Lovely hands.

I just read about a cook preparing a truffles risotto in here and that was sexy. My favourite celebrity chef can damn write! I want risotto too now..
