Dialog di tepi jalan

“Itu Abang hari ini tak ada mari ka?” the uncle at the cendol stall asked me.

I should have said: “Dia tak ada, sudah pergi jauh tinggalkan saya,” and make a sad face to go with it. But he had finished for the day so there was no chance to get a free bowl so I just smiled and told him something else.

Lawak pukul 5.30 petang.

Mal: my fellow cendol drinking geng. 😀

  5. cendol… ah yes…. the slimy, salty, sweet, milky bowl of heaven on earth. best enjoyed with a loved one. funny thing is, i was craving like hell for cendol masa my first pregnancy and in spite of the “signs” of labour dah datang, i pegi jugak mamak cendol nak makan one bowl – to think that i can’t have it during my confinement. There I was, cendol bowl in hand and trying to tahan labour pains. Tee hee.

ms. all jazzed up: I’ll try not to have visions of heavily pregnant ladies the next time I have a bowl. So graphic lah you.
