When it rains

Packing up to come back home last week, I decided to give a cousin who is a teacher some books for his school’s library. He mentioned once about how the library was filled with academic stuff but not novels or non-fiction books.

About a month ago, I had given him one batch of books from the shelves at home and those given by friends for the Reading Room project which I felt would be suitable for high school kids.

It was hard to part with them, but I hope the kids would be moved to at least browse through the titles.

Earlier this week, I found more books at the Times warehouse sale. Maybe I wasn’t patient enough to go through every aisle as I could not find many books for kids and young adult for under RM10. With less disposable income now that I am taking a paycut at the new job, I’ll have to think of other ways to get cheap books. And, hopefully, I’ll be able to revive the Reading Room again this year.

I miss my riding lessons.

Norzu, I have so many books to give away but not sure if they’re suitable for kids. Maybe I can just ship them to your house then you decide. Boleh ka? If tak sesuai for Reading Room, you can just chuck them out. I personally think they’re good books though. Elle dah cakap dia tak nak. 😐

Maybe if you can do an inventory, bagi list of titles? Kalau ada masa la. Nanti aku boleh tengok apa yang aku boleh pakai. Jangan buang, sayang wooo.
