When I see it on the line-up, I would usually watch Restaurant Makeover and Chef at Home on AFC. The former because it’s about creative people at work, the latter because of the easy way the chef comes up with lovely food with (mostly) everyday ingredients.
Last night on Restaurant Makeover, I was more interested on the goings on in the kitchen where two kindred spirits trade diner food recipes. While there was no fight for creative control, it was fun to see an old hand and a younger pro chef working together. Out in the front, the designer had to manage the crew, at least three of them have quite a lot more lines than usual.
“Unlike the other guys, I know how to butter up the designer,” the carpenter said. Heh.
